We’re fired up to announce the return of Minnesota Maple, our limited collaborative hot sauce with Minneapolis underground hip-hop legends Atmosphere — Slug & Ant of Rhymesayers Entertainment.

And yes: Minnesota Maple is officially restocked.

Atmosphere isn't just another name in independent hip-hop. For three decades, Slug and Ant have helped define what underground rap can be, building a career around independence, relentless touring, honest storytelling and a sound that has remained unmistakably their own.

Their influence reaches well beyond Minnesota. Atmosphere became one of the defining acts of Rhymesayers Entertainment and helped demonstrate that independent artists could build lasting careers, dedicated audiences and a culture around their music without following the traditional major-label blueprint. Rhymesayers itself describes Atmosphere as a defining act in underground hip-hop and independent music, with Slug's storytelling and Ant's production helping shape generations of listeners. 

That's exactly the kind of creative independence we respect at HAB Sauce.

This might be our favorite breakfast sauce we've ever made.

Minnesota Maple was built for those mornings when plain hot sauce just isn't enough. It's the bottle you reach for when you've got eggs, waffles, toast, bacon, sausage or basically anything else sitting on the breakfast table.

Sweet maple character meets the heat and flavor you'd expect from HAB Sauce, creating something that works across the entire plate. Drizzle it over fried eggs. Hit your breakfast sandwich with it. Pour it over waffles next to some crispy bacon. Put it on a breakfast burrito.

The bottle itself keeps the collaboration going with original label artwork by KUJO, bringing underground art, music and food together in one release.

That's a big part of what HAB Sauce collaborations are about. We're not interested in simply slapping somebody's name onto a bottle. We love working with artists, musicians and other creatives who have their own voice and their own world surrounding what they do.

Atmosphere Continues to Drop Gems

Thirty years into their career, Atmosphere isn't living off nostalgia. They're still making music and still hitting the road. They just recently celebrated 30 years in the game and dropped a 31 track compiltation of their work called Triple X Years in the Game. Their newest album Jestures is amazing and we highly suggest checking that out!

In fact, the timing of the Minnesota Maple restock couldn't be much better. Atmosphere is currently in the middle of its 2026 summer run, including dates on the So Glad You Made It Tour alongside 311, Dirty Heads and Rome. Their remaining announced August dates include Alpharetta, Tampa and West Palm Beach, followed by a massive Atmosphere & Friends show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 19 with 3OH!3, Slick Rick, Z-Trip, R.A. The Rugged Man, DJ LALA and special guest Everlast.

That's a fitting continuation for a group whose legacy has been built as much on connecting directly with fans as it has on records. Rhymesayers credits rigorous touring and live performances as a major part of how the label and its artists expanded far beyond the Twin Cities.

Like the best underground releases, Minnesota Maple isn't something we're planning on keeping around forever.

This is a limited collaborative release, and once this restock disappears, we can't promise when or if you'll get another shot at it.
