HAB Sauce Wins Best Sauces at the 2026 Washington State Hot Sauce Festival

The People Have Spoken... and They Like It Spicy.

HAB Sauce showed up to the 6th Annual Washington State Hot Sauce Festival hoping to let a few people sample our sauces, meet up with some fellow sauce fanatics, and maybe sell a few bottles. Instead, to our surprise, our team somehow walked away with the festival's biggest prize.

David (our founder) and the HAB Sauce team were there tasting sauces, talking to the people, and representing the HAB brand on Friday and Saturday.

Needless to say, we're still trying to process it.

Held July 25–26 at McMillin Farm Collective in Puyallup, Washington, the Washington State Hot Sauce Festival has quickly become one of the Pacific Northwest's premier events for hot sauce lovers. More than 30 craft hot sauce companies and over 40 artisan vendors gathered for an entire weekend dedicated to bold flavors, fiery creations, great food, live entertainment, and thousands of spicy food fans.

Why This Award Means So Much

Unlike competitions where a small panel of judges decides the winners, the Washington State Hot Sauce Festival's Best Sauce award is determined by the people who matter most, hot sauce lovers.

Festival attendees spent the weekend sampling sauces from vendors across the Pacific Northwest before casting their votes for their favorites. That means this wasn't one person's opinion. It wasn't one judge's palate.

It was hundreds of people tasting, comparing, debating, and ultimately choosing HAB Sauce as their favorite. There is no better compliment than that, and we are so grateful for everyone that enjoy's our flavors.

When HAB Sauce started, the mission wasn't to make the hottest sauce on the shelf. It was to make sauces people actually wanted to finish. Every bottle we create starts with flavor first. Heat should make you smile, not ruin your dinner.
